Golden Stripe Solar hosts office opening in Winnebago

Invenergy’s Golden Stripe Solar Energy Center held an open house and ribbon cutting ceremony at their new office space in Winnebago, Minnesota.  The Golden Stripe team was joined at the event by participating landowners, the Mayor of Winnebago, Jean Anderson, members of the Winnebago Museum Board, as well as members of the Blue Earth Chamber of Commerce.

Located in Faribault County, Minnesota, the 300+ megawatt Golden Stripe Solar Energy Center will generate enough electricity to power more than 61,000 American homes. The project will support up to 250 jobs during construction and invest more than $200 million in local tax revenue and landowner payments over the life of the project.

“We’re proud to welcome and celebrate the opening of Invenergy’s new office in our community,” said Mayor of Winnebago and Museum Board Member, Jean Anderson. “It’s been great to see the collaboration between local landowners, residents, and the project team and we are looking forward to the positive impact the solar project will bring to Winnebago and all of Faribault County.”
